Lemon and Lavender Infused Maple Syrup
WytchWood syrup starts with the sap from Maple trees grown in central Vermont. It is then boiled and carefully infused with organic botanicals, fruits, flowers to create our bottle of maple magick. Hand wax-sealed and blessed, this is unlike anything you have ever experienced. Each and every bottle is represented by a God, Goddess, Pagan celebration or folklore icon.
The goddess representing our lavender and lemon maple syrup flavor is Circe. In Greek mythology, she is the goddess of magick. She is well versed in potions & healing and uses her knowledge against her enemies by turning them into wild animals. Interesting fact is that the earliest mention of a wand was when Homer's 'The Odyssey' described when Circe turned Odysseus’s men into pigs. She is the daughter of the sun god, Helios and and of the ocean nymph Perse. However, there is some speculation that her mother was Hecate, a goddess of sorcery. She has blended the calming herb of lavender with a zest of fresh lemon to create the perfect summer syrup.
This syrup is great on or with:
Pancakes, granola, desserts, ice cream, yogurt, lemonade, cocktails.
Kitchen Witch Recommendations:
Lavender Margarita Refresher: 1 part Circe syrup with 1oz tequila, 1/2 lime and topped with sparkling water for a refreshing summer cocktail
Lavender London Fog Tea: For a morning treat try an almond milk Lavender London Fog. 1/2 cup of simmered almond milk, 1tbsp of Circe syrup with 1/2 cup of boiling water and steep 2 Earl Grey Teabags for 2 minutes. If you have a milk frother even better!
This syrup is so very very tasty! The packaging I beautiful and incredibly detailed! Can’t wait to try other flavors! ✨
This was the first of the syrups I opened, and it was gone before I opened my second bottle! I used it for tea, as well as to make lemonade, and I beyond highly recommend it. If you don't want to try this, or decide not to, that just means more for me! I'll be placing a second order at some point, as long as it doesn't sell out.
I was worried at first about the lavender, because I've had lavender macarons and other sweets that taste like my home cleaning products, but this is fantastic. There's just above a hint of lavender, making it so you can taste it, without the lavender overwhelming the lemon or sugar from the maple syrup itself. The blend is beautiful and I can imagine how well it would go on pancakes or waffles, despite not having used it for that purpose myself.
I just received my order and I am so incredibly happy. I already want to order more because I know this will go quickly! It’s the perfect lemon and lavender taste, no explanation does this stuff justice you just have to buy it and experience it yourself. It also shipped right away I was surprised at how fast it arrived. Thank you again! Can’t wait to try the other flavors.
Yes yes yes yes yes. Wytchwood you hit this one on the nose! Lavender is a super difficult flavor to get right - too much and it tastes like soap, not enough and there's just no point. But wow, this is right on the money and is pleasingly botanical. The lemon flavor complements it super well, being just the right combination of zest and a bit of tang. The delicate maple flavor makes a solid backdrop to the lemon lavender and blends surprisingly well for a complete product that is wholly delicious.
I recommend using this in place of simple syrup in a lemon juice margarita. I also just love it in a warm cup of chamomile tea. So yummy, you won't regret it!
Everything about this shop is Magik! I am obsessed with lavender and jumped with excitement when I saw this flavor combination. I have already tried it on waffles and it’s such a well balanced blend of the lemon and lavender. It was hard to not have seconds! I also made a lavender ice cream using this syrup as a sweetener base. This syrup is just beautiful. I will be buying more! Keep creating amazing products!
Where to begin? First of all: shipping was fantastic, it arrived quickly and safely, and I love the eco-friendly packaging. Second, the bottle itself is a work of art. you can tell so much love and hard work went into this. Now, FLAVOR. I was a tad nervous about the lavender, as sometimes in food it can be overwhelming. FEAR NOT. The lavender flavor is lovely, and transforms into a wonderfully light lemon taste that is to die for. I am in love.
