Chocolate Infused Maple Syrup
WytchWood syrup starts with the sap from maple trees grown in central Vermont. The sap is then boiled in the Spring and infused with cocoa beans to create a luscious chocolate syrup. Each bottle is hand wax-sealed, blessed and unlike anything you have ever experienced. Each and every bottle is represented by a God, Goddess, Pagan celebration or folklore icon.
We introduce to you our chocolate flavor as the Queen and Mother of all witches, Hecate. A Greek goddess, she is known for fertility, giver of healing, spinning the wheel of time, keeper of keys and a version of the Triple Goddess. She is often found with animals but most famous for her dogs, horse or serpents. Her hell-hound, as seen with her in our illustration, is guarding the gates to underworld. She is with three faces and carrying torches to light the darkness of night as the guardian of the crossroads. We hope you honor her through our chocolate syrup in your kitchen Witch rituals.
This syrup is great on or with:
Mole Sauce, BBQ, Pancakes, granola, fresh fruit, coffee, desserts, ice cream, yogurt, cocktails.
Kitchen Witch Recommendations:
Replace your Hecate syrup on all of your sundaes, ice cream and chocolate milk.
Hecate's Underworld Fondue: Simmer 1 cup of syrup on the stove and enjoy dipping in your favorite fruit, bread or marshmallows.
Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but I sometimes swig a spoonful when no one is looking to get my fix. This one doesn't go on just anything around our house — it must be a deserving vehicle to transport Hecate ;)
I love Wytchwoods syrups. I've gotten 3 so far and they never disappoint. They are like the plate clean kinda good. Literally!
If there’s one thing I know for certain, it’s that the syrups that WytchWood delivers are the definition of superb! The notes that each of their maple syrups contain are magickal symphonies of flavor on the tongue. You will wonder how you went so long without them, and know that you’ll be back for more!
I love everything from the bottle to the yummy chocolate part, very good and I definitely will purchase more!
Omg! I used up this one before all the rest! It didn't last long between me and anyone else I shared with ! Great on ice cream coffee and even a fancy coconut kahlua drink ;) I also started putting it in my ganga (marijuana) brownie mix! And wowza !
I love using this in my morning coffee. I really enjoy the sweetness of the syrup mixed with the bitterness of the chocolate.
This is probably my favorite of these lovely, infused, summer syrups. The cacao flavor in this is undeniable but as others have stated before, it's not artificial or cloying like chocolate syrup. My favorite way to use this syrup is in iced mochas but I also made a super tasty batch of chocolate, rum flavored ice cream using Hecate and Poseidon. I never thought that I could love this combo of maple and the rich undertone of chocolate SO MUCH but I'm hooked. I'll have to snag another bottle before they run out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND,
I am making myself use this very sparingly, because I could honestly probably drink this syrup. The only thing I have used it for so far is vegan chocolate chia seed pudding -- and it elevated the recipe so much! HIGHLY recommend to try it with your own chocolatey goods... but I'm sure it would be amazing on french toast and pancakes as well. Will be using on ice cream too, as per others' recommendations!!
